Introduction to FSL
The main research fields of FSL are the developments and applications of CFD techniques, high-speed computing and their environments. The research group of FSL mainly comprising of PhD and graduate students have finished many research projects with notable success. The finial supporters of research projects executed by FSL are Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Institute of Nuclear Energy Research, and many other research institutions and private local companies. The software of FSL, including in-house and commercial CFD codes, are capable of analyzing multi-sale and multi-physics problems encountering in scientific and engineering applications. With the pre- and post-processing tools, the FSL team has great flexibility to tackle complicated geometries and visualize important characteristics of complex flow fields. A high-performance cluster system equipped with high-speed switch is installed in the FSL to analyze CFD problems with parallelization techniques to accelerate the required computation time.
